A workflow has been created to show Unified View with a Mainframe and Helix Control-M.
Use Case Overview
This Control-M workflow titled ZZZ-MAIN demonstrates a comprehensive and structured job management and scheduling setup tailored for z/OS mainframe. In this workflow, there are a set of jobs that run basic JCL programs which emulate HR type jobs designed to handle specific data processing tasks like Inventory Management, Payroll Processing, Customer Data Handling, and Data Validation. These jobs are for demonstration purposes only and the jobs themselves don’t contain any HR functions. For demo purposes, you can open the workflow in planning to see the job definitions and view the active worklow in monitoring to inspect the executions and output of the each job.
Use Case Technical Explanation
ZZZ-MAINExecutes on Control-M Server CMB3 and follows a standard rule-based calendar (EVERYDAY), allowing daily execution of jobs. All jobs are InStreamJCL z/OS jobs, leveraging JCL (Job Control Language) to perform mainframe tasks.
